What we did

H&R Steel detailed 2,325 tons of structural steel for Walmart’s new Distribution and Beef Packing Facility in Olathe, Kansas, completed in 2024. This project represents a key step in Walmart’s strategy to build a stronger supply chain and expand customer access to high-quality Angus beef. Our role included detailing, fabrication, and delivery of the steel systems that support the facility’s expansive production and distribution operations.

The scope required precise coordination with engineers and fabricators to ensure structural performance aligned with food processing standards and long-term durability. By leveraging advanced modeling and strict quality controls, we ensured accuracy across all steel components and streamlined the erection process. H&R Steel’s contribution provided a reliable framework for a modern facility designed to increase efficiency, resilience, and scalability within Walmart’s national supply chain.

"We’ve worked with H&R Steel Detailing on both small and large projects, and they’ve consistently delivered accurate, high-quality drawings on schedule.
