USAFA Visitor Center

What we did
H&R Steel detailed 2,740 tons of structural steel for the United States Air Force Academy Visitor Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As part of the larger TrueNorth Commons development at the Academy’s North Entrance, the project delivers a modern gateway facility that connects visitors, cadets, and the community. Our scope included detailing, fabrication, and delivery of the steel framework supporting the Visitor Center’s architectural design and functional spaces.
The work also reinforced integration with adjacent developments, including a four-diamond hotel, conference center, and additional mixed-use facilities within the 57-acre site. Close coordination with architects and contractors ensured accuracy in modeling and delivery, while strict quality standards guaranteed structural reliability. H&R Steel’s contribution anchors a project that enhances engagement, education, and hospitality for all who visit the Academy.
