What we did
H&R Steel detailed 7,900 tons of structural steel for the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute Expansion in Cleveland, Ohio. As the largest building on the Main Campus, this 1 million square-foot facility is dedicated to advancing neurological care, research, and treatment for conditions affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system. Our scope included detailing, fabrication, and delivery of the steel systems required to support the facility’s vast clinical, research, and collaboration spaces.
The scale of the project demanded close coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet strict medical facility standards for safety, flexibility, and performance. Structural steel was critical in creating wide spans and adaptable layouts that accommodate advanced technology. Through precise modeling, rigorous quality control, and efficient delivery, H&R Steel contributed to a landmark project strengthening Cleveland Clinic’s global reputation for innovation in neurological medicine.
