Cambridge North Tower – University of Kansas

What we did
H&R Steel detailed 2,680 tons of structural steel for the Cambridge North Tower at the University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, Kansas. This $280 million, seven-story, 92-bed facility was designed by Canon Design and built by J.E. Dunn Construction. The tower features 12 state-of-the-art operating rooms and houses two of the hospital’s fastest growing specialties: neurosciences and surgical oncology.
Our role included detailing of the steel systems required to frame patient rooms, surgical suites, and advanced care areas. Coordination with design and construction partners ensured precision in modeling and compliance with strict healthcare performance standards. By combining rigorous quality control with efficient scheduling, H&R Steel delivered a structural framework that supports cutting-edge medical care while reinforcing the University of Kansas Health System’s commitment to innovation and patient-centered growth.
